Black Friday--A Primitive Archer story
Chad's article, Black Friday, is now available in the latest issue of Primitive Archer magazine. The August/September 2008 edition showcases the campfire philosophy that we have come to expect in his song lyrics in a story about the day after Thanksgiving. This time, Chad explores the commercialism of our modern world in his own way---"Under the low watt of the street lamps, I could see their faces--like a ghostly herd of captive wolves at feeding time--eyes fixed, salivating, waiting to get theirs. But, unlike the wolves who have learned to hunt and work together, these carnivores had no plans of sharing. They had come to be first, and nothing less would do. They left their temperature regulated dens and satin-covered beds to brave the cold of winter and sleep atop the rock of man. They have given into the savagery of commercialism----friends becoming foe, family members divided, and perfectly decent folks acting like godless heathens! AND THEY CALL ME PRIMITIVE??"
For those who have enjoyed Chad's expressive writing in his song lyrics, you are really going to enjoy his magazine articles. You can find your copy at Borders, Barnes and Noble, Cabelas, Bass Pro Shops, and www.PrimitiveArcher.com.
Please let the fine staff at Primitve Archer know you enjoy the articles! Ed, Sarah, and the whole crew work hard to deliver one of the finest outdoor magazines available.
Clem's Birds-- A Primitive Archer Story
Chad's latest article, Clem's Birds, is now available in the June/July Edition of Primitive Archer! In this article, Chad tells the story of Clem, his wife's grandfather, who released wild turkeys in Oklahoma back in the sixties when they were virtually extinct from the red dirt landscape. Chad spent a few days chasing those birds last winter, and the events that occurred during that time makes for some very interesting reading...... The magazine is available at Bass Pro Shops, Cabelas, Barnes and Noble, Borders, and www.PrimitiveArcher.com.
